Hi, my name is Muhannad.

I am a 20-year-old student from Gaza. Writing this from inside a displacement tent is not easy, as it is difficult to capture the weight of what I have endured.

I graduated from high school with big dreams and spent months tirelessly preparing for the IELTS exam to secure my future academic path abroad.

But before I could take the test or travel, the devastating war broke out, shattering everything I had worked for.

In an instant, I lost absolutely everything—my home was destroyed, I lost family members, and every single thing we owned was turned to ashes.

My basic right to education was violently stripped away, leaving me stranded among the ruins.

Today, I live in a fragile tent, facing daily displacement and unimaginable horrors.

Prior to this crisis, I dedicated my time to helping others, working and volunteering as a project coordinator with international organizations like UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

Today, I am the one reaching out for a lifeline.

Despite the constant fear, deep grief, and the harsh reality of tent life, the desire to pursue my education remains unbroken.

I refuse to let the war crush my dream of becoming a doctor.

I have pushed through the trauma to secure university admissions in Europe, seeking a path toward safety and a future.
