Hello, my name is Ariel Collins and live in Portland, OR. I started this Gofundme for Muhammad Abu Jarir and his wife Ola Abu Jalhoum. Muhammad is the brother of my dear friends Shatha and Rasha in Gaza. The funds collected will be transferred to Muhammad via Western Union. Please read Muhammad and his family’s story below.
My name is Muhammad Abu Jarir from Gaza. I am 27 years old. I am starting this Gofundme because of the dire situation and living conditions that me, my wife Ola and my two children Rasmi 3 years old and Anas just 1 year olds are living here in Gaza.
Before the war in Gaza I was a driver and lived a comfortable life where I could support my family and we had everything we needed. But then the massive gas outages in Gaza left me unable to afford gas and now gas is almost impossible to find and so I could not continue my job as a driver. Our house was then bombed and we lost everything. We are now living in a very badly demolished home that does not protect us from the cold and other dangers.
The situation here is beyond the words I can find. My children need basic things that we have been unable to provide. Both my children require diapers and the younger one requires formula as it is very difficult and most times impossible to find healthy foods. Clean drinking water has also become unaffordable. The prices in Gaza have become so high that we are going days without the things we need for both our own survival and the survival of our children.
with winter upon us we are in need of warm clothing and blankets. Hygienic products and medicine to keep the children from getting ill as this has become a constant problem without enough clean water and hygiene products.
your donations will help with all these things. Warm clothing and blankets, food and clean drinking water, hygiene products and medicines and diapers and formula.
I’m reaching out to you, people of good conscience that would kindly donate, even a small amount means very much to us and to share this account and spread our story. We are in dire need of support and appreciate, from the bottoms of our hearts each person that extends to us their kindness and generosity. Thank you for reading our story and for your support.
