My cat Muffin, was born on July 30th, 2025. He was given to me when he was about four months old and has been my angel cat ever since I got him. He is the sweetest and clingiest little thing, always wanting to be on me, sleep with me, play with me, be pet by me.

Recently I noticed a mass in his belly and took him to the vet, where they informed me that it was fluid accumulation. They took bloodwork and said they were 99.99% sure that it was FIP. Fluid samples were sent this morning to confirm it, but they said he is a textbook case of effusive FIP.

The vet informed me that his prognosis is favorable with treatment, but the treatment will cost around $1,000. I am a college student & apprentice who gets paid $12 an hour so my finances are not great, but I want to do anything to help my cat. If you can share this at all, I would be more than grateful.
