Veronica’s journey with cancer has continued to unfold, and her medical team has shared that treatment is no longer working in the way everyone had hoped. Right now, Veronica is focusing on comfort, presence, and spending meaningful time with the people she loves most.
While Veronica is still very much here with us, this season has naturally shifted the focus of this fundraiser. Funds raised will go toward supporting Veronica, her children, and her family — helping to ease financial pressures so time and energy can be spent where it matters most: being together. This includes caring for her children, supporting family needs, and creating space for shared moments, connection, and peace during this time.
Veronica has felt the love of this community deeply. She has shared that your words and generosity have meant more to her than she can express. While her energy is limited and she may not always be able to respond, please know that your support is received and felt.

If you’re part of the Children’s Garden Montessori School (CGMS) community, you already know the incredible light that is Ms. Veronica. For years, she has filled our Dogwood classroom with warmth, humor, and grace, guiding children with the kind of patience and love that leaves a lasting imprint on their hearts.
Recently, Ms. Veronica received unexpected medical news that will require her to step away from the classroom while she undergoes treatment for cancer. As she focuses on her health and recovery, we want to make sure she and her family feel the same care and stability she has always given so freely to others.
Veronica is a devoted mother of two wonderful children who both grew up at CGMS, playing, learning, and laughing alongside so many of ours. She has spent years caring for other people’s children with unwavering love and attention, even while working tirelessly to provide for her own. Now, it’s our turn to care for her.
Today happens to be Veronica’s birthday, and we can think of no better way to honor her than by surrounding her family with the love and support she has always shared so generously with ours.
This GoFundMe has been created by our CGMS community as a quiet act of love and support. Veronica does not know about this fundraiser at this time; it is something we wanted to do on her behalf to help ease the many burdens she’s carrying. The funds raised will help cover medical expenses, treatment-related travel, time away from work during recovery, and daily living costs and care for her two children.
To help get things started, Children’s Garden Montessori School will be matching the first $1,000 in donations.
