Supporting Ms. Susana and Her Family During an Unimaginable Loss
Many in our community already know and love Ms. Susana. She has been part of the Little Linguists International Preschool family since 2019, starting as a high school intern and growing into a devoted assistant teacher and loving mother to her daughter, Arianna, who currently attends our PK3 class. Every day, Ms. Susana brings warmth, patience, and kindness to the children and families she serves. She also has a playful spirit, bringing joy, laughter, and fun wherever she goes.
Recently, Ms. Susana and her family faced a heartbreaking and unexpected tragedy. She had taken time away from work to support her mother during the birth of a new baby—a moment that should have been full of joy. During delivery, doctors discovered her mother was suffering from Stage 4 cancer. In just a few weeks, celebration turned into a life-altering crisis. After multiple surgeries and overwhelming medical complications, Ms. Susana’s mother sadly passed away.
At the same time, the family is now caring for a newborn while grieving an immense loss. What is already an exhausting and emotional time for any family has become profoundly overwhelming.
In the midst of this tragedy, Ms. Susana has stepped into a caregiving role for her two younger sisters, who have now lost both parents. While the newborn will be cared for by his father and extended family, Ms. Susana is helping hold her family together while continuing to care for Arianna.
To support her sisters and navigate this sudden loss, Ms. Susana has taken a leave of absence from work and is currently without income. This fundraiser is intended to provide stability during this period, so she can focus on her family without the added stress of financial hardship.
Funds raised will help cover essential living expenses such as housing, utilities, food, transportation, and daily necessities. Our hope is to support Ms. Susana during this time as she plans to return to work in August.
This is an overwhelming responsibility for anyone—especially someone so young—but Ms. Susana continues to show strength and love for those who depend on her. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden she is carrying and remind her she is not facing this alone. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another meaningful way to help.
Thank you for surrounding Ms. Susana with the same care, generosity, and compassion she has always shown to the children and families in her community.
