Support Ms. Powell's Family After Devastating Fire

Our colleague and friend, Ms. Powell, has experienced a devasting loss. The recent wildfires in California have destroyed her childhood home, the home where her parents still lived, leaving them with nothing but memories and whatever they were able to grab before they evacuated.

As an educator, Ms. Powell has spent countless hours shaping young minds and giving selflessly to her students and the community. Now, it is our turn to help Ms. Powell and her parents. Funds raised will go towards basic necessities such as clothing, food, and toiletries, temporary housing, and rebuilding efforts and essential home items. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference as she and her parents start the long road to recovery. Not everyone affected by these wildfires is a movie star.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I started this fundraiser as Ms. Powell's colleague and friend from the school she worked at in the Bronx, NY. We want to show Ms. Powell the same love and support she has shown so many over the past six years.
