Support Ms. Pendleton Through Her Recovery
Donation protected
I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support during a very uncertain and challenging time in my life. On June 24, 2025, I will be undergoing knee surgery—a procedure that’s not just necessary for my health, but essential for me to be able to return to work and, to my passion: dance.
Dance has always been more than movement for me—it’s a source of healing, joy, and expression. But right now, I’m facing a major hurdle that’s preventing me from doing what I love. Being sidelined due to this injury has already taken a toll on my spirit, but I’m determined to recover fully and return stronger.
I haven’t been on my job for a year, which unfortunately disqualifies me from receiving many of the benefits or assistance programs that could help during my recovery. I’ve worked hard in the past and have some accrued time saved, but it won’t be nearly enough to carry me through what could become an extended recovery process.
The truth is that the doctors won’t know the full extent of the damage to my meniscus until they open my knee during surgery. Because of that, we don’t yet know how long my recovery will take. That level of uncertainty makes things even harder to plan for, emotionally and financially.
My knees are critical—not just for my ability to work, but for my ability to live fully and return to my true self through dance. I’m doing everything I can to prepare for this surgery, but I need help getting through the time afterward.
This GoFundMe is to help cover basic needs like rent, bills, and food while I focus on healing. Every single donation—large or small—means more than words can express. If you feel led to contribute, know that your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. I will be eternally grateful for anything you can give.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story, for caring, and for being a part of my journey. Whether you’re able to donate or simply share this with others, your support means the world to me.
God bless you for choosing to be a blessing and a giving hand in this season of my life. With all my heart,
