The Story:

For 4 years, Ms.Megan has poured her heart into her 3rd-grade classroom at Sherman Elementary, helping our kids grow into curious, confident learners. Now, she is standing up for the future of our schools.

As many of you know, SFUSD teachers are currently pushed to the brink. They are fighting for livable wages, affordable healthcare, and the resources our students deserve. While Ms.Megan believes deeply in this fight, it comes at a staggering personal cost. SFUSD teachers do not receive strike pay.

In a city as expensive as San Francisco, missing even one paycheck is a crisis. For Ms. Megan, the lack of income during this strike means she is at risk of being unable to cover her rent and basic necessities this month.

Why We Are Raising Funds:

We are a community of parents and neighbors who know that a teacher’s working conditions are our children’s learning conditions. We don’t want Ms. Megan to have to choose between standing up for her students and keeping a roof over her head.
