As many of you know, our beloved Ms. Mary was forced to evacuate in Hurricane Helene. Like many buildings in the area, hers sustained damage from flooding. One day before she was supposed to move back in, Hurricane Milton hit. The damage sustained in the second storm has made it clear that this displacement is indefinite. We have found her a temporary living arrangement (6 months) that will allow her some breathing room to figure out what is next. The goal of this campaign is to cover the difference in rent for those 6 months. Anything in excess will also be given to her to replace items she no longer has access to (clothes, shoes, toiletries, etc.). Beloved to us here at the FL DCC and the ultimate care taker - now it’s time for us to care for her. Please give what you can, no donation is too small or too big!
