Support Ms. Macique in her battle against cancer

If you have ever met Giselle Macique then you know how loving and caring she is. If you have  crossed paths with her, you know she is a happy and dedicated high school teacher and an amazing mom to my brother Walter and me.

On April 8th 2020 my mom, Giselle, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer called Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. After numerous exams it was determined that it has involved to a few lymph nodes. The specialist says she will need 4 months of chemotherapy, that started today April 28th, followed by a double mastectomy and radiation. 

Given the unexpected nature of these horrible news our family is not financially prepared to face the cost of these expensive treatments. This is why we have, as a family, decided to reach out to our community and extended family in a plea for your solidarity. 

If you can offer your support with a donation of any amount, it will help us navigate these uncertain and challenging times, and alleviate the financial burden that getting mom better implies. We just want to get mom back in health so she may be back in her classroom with good health doing what she loves!

The donations will be used to cover medical expenses and help us navigate these uncertain time.Any remaining funds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in an effort to support continued research to fight this illness that affects so many families every year.
