Hey ya'll (as Lisa would say!),
Our dear sister and friend Lisa is about to undergo her first hip replacement surgery in early December. She will then schedule a date for her second hip replacement as time tells what suits her best. As we all know, this kind of major medical procedure is not only EXTREMELY costly but also challenging on a variety of other levels as well. It is our hope that we can help provide a bit of monetary support to alleviate any added stress so Lisa and Vic can focus on the healing process together.
To help soften the financial blow for Lisa and Vic, we have started a GoFundMe account to help them cover the already surmounting costs of pre-surgery appointments, the hospital stay, the post-op visits, the medical equipment needed at home, physical therapy and, if we raise enough it can hopefully be used to help offset typical household costs such as bills, groceries and other necessities.
Luckily, Lisa has medical insurance through school but even with this benefit, they are looking to pay more than $10,000 for both hip replacements when all said and done.
If you know Lisa, you know she is a warrior. She will get through this with her head held high, her eyes sparkling and her lipstick ON! But now is a time we can come together and support a friend who has been such a rock for so many us. Whether she is your friend, family, neighbor, colleague, teacher (present or past!), or merely an acquaintance, you know that Lisa's presence is a magical one. She is there to offer help, guidance, support and love to anyone who needs it.
Now it is our turn to extend our hands and hearts towards Lisa. Thank you for considering a donation of any amount to help us reach our goal!
