Asking for help to raise funds to help with monthly expenses due to recent hospitalization.
Ms. Johnnie Brasher is a 75-year-old that is employed full time at the Bossier City Walmart on Airline Dr. Ms. Johnnie has been an employee of Walmart for 11yrs and works anywhere from 36-40hrs a week. She is probably one of the first and last faces you see, while on the premises, as she serves as a door greeter. Not only is Ms. Johnnie a widow of 38 years, but also lives alone, all awhile living paycheck to paycheck just to be able to make ends meet financially every month. Unfortunately, Ms. Johnnie was hospitalized for 7 days at Willis Knighton Piermont for acute cardiac issues. The 7 days of hospitalization has set Ms. Johnnie back from receiving a full paycheck to only 40% of her pay due to short term disability. Although, Ms. Johnnie is grateful to be able to receive the 40% of pay, she still holds the financial burden of trying to stretch every penny to continue to make ends meet. Ms. Johnnie has yet to return to work, due to general weakness but is slowly regaining her strength. A goal of $5,000 has been set; to help take some of that financial burden away so she can place her focus to getting back on her feet, so she can return to duty. The goal set will not only help cover the missed income from hospitalization but also create a small cushion for whatever the future may hold. Ms. Johnnie is not only a kind lady to know, but also a well driven lady to be able to continue to provide for herself, as you can tell for someone who is of such age that is still working as a full-time employee. Ms. Johnnie would be forever grateful and beyond blessed for any amount given during this time from $1, $5, or whatever amount that has been pressed upon your heart to give. The funds received will go towards, rent, utilities, car note, insurance, and medical expenses.
As we are instructed to live out life here on earth to care for the widows, and carry one another burdens, it is being asked to consider yourself giving to such a great need.
1 Timothy 5:3 Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.
Galatians 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
