We are raising funds for Ms. Ima Mockovciak, one of the beloved teachers at St Peter’s. Ms. Ima has blocked and inflamed lymph nodes and has been diagnosed with cancerous lumps in her chest, underarm area, and brain. She officially started radiation on September 10 and will be undergoing treatments over the next two weeks.

Over the last several weeks, she has already been through many appointments, including MRIs, PET scans, and visits with multiple doctors, with many more appointments and treatments still ahead.

What stands out so much about Ms. Ima is her commitment to her students. Even during treatment, she is determined to keep working because being in the classroom and with her students makes her feel better. That says so much about the kind of teacher and person she is, and why she means so much to the St Peter’s community.
