Ms. Betty Sherman has spent years quietly caring for everyone else. As a school custodian, she’s the heart of our building — always greeting students with a warm smile, lending a hand.

A few weeks ago, Ms. Betty had a terrible fall in her kitchen that left her broken femur in one leg and a fractured bone in the other. She’s already gone through two major surgeries and is now in rehab, working hard every day to regain her strength. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to return to work for quite some time. With no paycheck coming in, she’s struggling to cover her rent, utilities, and everyday needs — and with the holidays approaching, things feel especially heavy for her.

Ms. Betty has always given her best to others, and now it’s our turn to show her the same kindness she’s shown so many.
