It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that our dear colleague and friend, Mrs. Mejia, lost her beloved husband on July 28th, 2025. After courageously surviving cancer once before, he faced a new, aggressive battle beginning in December of 2023. Despite his incredible strength and determination, his fight came to an end far too soon.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Mrs. Mejia, their four children, and a cherished grandchild. As you can imagine, this loss has brought not only overwhelming grief but also sudden and unexpected financial challenges.

Mrs. Mejia, a dedicated teacher who gives so much of herself to her students and our community, will now carry the tremendous responsibility of being the sole provider for her family. She is set to return to work this week, but as many of us know, teachers often do not receive their first paycheck for several weeks into the school year.

We are asking for your support to help ease the burden during this incredibly difficult time. Your generous donations will go directly toward helping Mrs. Mejia cover funeral expenses, immediate living expenses, bills, and other essentials for her family as they navigate life without their husband, father, and grandfather.
