Our former band director, Mrs. Erin Longo, has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is preparing for surgery. Mrs. Longo taught us back in middle school and made such an impact, not only as a teacher but as a person. She was mainly a flute player, but she taught us so much more than just music. She taught us about working hard and supporting each other.

Even after she retired a few years ago, she and her wife Mo traveled the world, but she always came back every year to check in on the band. That just shows how much she cared about us, and we all love her for it.

Now it’s our turn to be there for her. We’re raising money to help cover the cost of her surgery and medical care. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to Mrs. Longo and to all of us who were lucky enough to be her students.
