Support Mrs. Beth & Her Sons in a Time of Need
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Lance Wesson. Let me start by saying i put this GoFundMe together on my own accord for a family i know to be in need, this is not for my benefit in any way aside from the joy it could possibly bring me to see their lives be affected in a positive way.
I work in the restaurant industry in southern Alabama and I've been fortunate enough to meet some truly wonderful and very special people over the years. Atop that list is Mrs. Beth Henson. Mrs. Beth is a retired teacher who plays piano for her church, loves God, and is a beacon of goodness and joy. She is always smiling and always uplifting EVERYONE around her. She has two sons that have inherited their father's house in Baldwin Country. Their father, Webster MacCartee Jr., was a minister at Maranatha Babtist Church in Loxley, AL for years and was extremely caring, often treating property as a halfway house to help people get back on their feet. Unfortunately, he passed away about 2 years ago, due to Pancreatic Cancer.
The inherited house is a bed and breakfast style home that is outdated and has been on the market for far longer than expected and has become extremely problematic. It is in need of TLC and has already been a very costly endeavor. They are hoping to simply pay the house off and break even eventually, as there was also a mortgage her sons inherited that now sits on top of their own expenses, mortgage, and overhead. The house has sat and Mrs. Beth has helped keep the mortgage up but money has tightened and we are fearful they may soon be underwater with payments and repairs they have been coached into taking on to try to get the house on a capacity to sell easier.
I have known Mrs. Beth for several years now and everyone that knows her will tell you, she is the sweetest and most caring person and loves her children dearly, she loves everyone in fact, wholeheartedly. She would never ask for help so I've decided to ask for help for her and for her family. I believe a few months of mortgage payments could make a significant difference in their lives and I know if the people around here in Baldwin County that have known this family for any amount of time would be more than happy to help any way they can, so I've created this GoFundMe to have a platform for people to be made aware and have the opportunity to give back to this family that has given so much to those in need throughout many years.
I am hopeful we can raise art least $5,000 to give them a chance to catch their breath and have a little more time to not have to worry about these finances that exist on top of the rest of their responsibilities and bills. If we can share this story, I'm confident the people that see this will be capable of that goal and more. This economy has been tough, like most of us, they've made it work by working a little harder, but they are mentally and financially exhausted. They need to be given a chance to destress and reset, which is exactly what you will be providing if you find the inspiration to donate. Thank you VERY MUCH for reading this and for bearing with me while I try to paint the picture, these are some of the most wonderful people I know and I believe wholeheartedly that if anyone deserves some breathing room it's here and it's now. Thank you again!
