Support Mrs. Ann Rolle and her fight against cancer.

Every day we see and hear of other people's fight and their journeys. Not realizing that one day it could very much be your own.

Hi everyone, My name is Aneasha Rolle and I am here on behalf of my mother Mrs. Ann Rolle(Summerfield). My mother a native of Cambridge England, moved to the Bahamas over 40 years ago when she began her teaching career here. She immediately knew that she would call this place home, she fell in love with the beauty of this country and ALL things Bahamian. She met and fell in love with my father and they were blessed with two daughters.
She devoted her life to not only raising my sister and I but to raising so many other children in the Bahamas. She poured blood, sweat and tears into her career as an educator and as a high school administrator. She has been actively involved in Junkanoo as well as the Governor's General Youth Award where she worked tirelessly and often at the detriment of our family to give so many young people an outlet as well as create opportunities for them. She has made such an impact on so many lives and I believe she has truly made a difference in the education system throughout Nassau, Andros and Exuma where she took her time molding and educating so many young minds, she has not only been a mother to me but to so many others. After retiring from the Ministry of Education in 2021 she is still here making a difference serving on the Board of Directors for the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute where she continues on her quest to improve our education system and the lives of young people and our country.
My mom is truly the most amazing person I have ever encountered. She goes above and beyond for any one that comes into contact with her and she would literally give any one the shirt off of her back if they needed it and those that know her will assent to this.

Last year my mother started to feel ill, after being back and forth to the doctor she has been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. We are grateful to have caught it in its early stages and we are thankful to the team at Princess Margaret Hospital headed by Dr. Halliday who have moved quickly in getting her ready for surgery. On May 9th 2024 she will undergo a Radical Hysterectomy with hopes of removing the mass and any damage.
As we do not live on the same island that the hospital is located on, This Go Fund Me has been created to assist us with any medical cost that may arise, the costs to travel back and forth to Nassau and to assist us with housing in Nassau as she will be required to stay there for a month after surgery or possibly longer if radiation treatments are needed.
We are asking for the support of anyone that my mom has touched in anyway, please help this educator, mother, grandmother, wife and friend fight this fight.

For those persons who do not wish to donate via Go Fund Me I am placing her Royal Bank of Canada and Scotia Bank details below for direct bank transfers.

We thank each and every one of you in advance. We stand firm in our faith and we are sure that with your help and the help from God, she will overcome this.
