On August 1, 2025, what was supposed to be a 13-year-old boy’s second day of school and the excitement of starting high school with his friends, tragedy struck. As he was riding his bike to school, he was hit by a pickup truck while in the crosswalk. Ending up under the vehicle, emergency responders acted quickly, lifting the truck off the teen and rushing him to a local hospital, where he was then airlifted to a children’s trauma center in Mesa with life-threatening injuries. Due to the nature of the incident, the family wishes to remain anonymous at this time.

In the days since the accident, the teen has made inspiring improvements that are nothing short of miraculous. With various internal injuries, he faces a long and challenging recovery over the coming months, missing out on many firsts of his high school experience.

This journey will be physically painful, emotionally draining, and financially overwhelming for him and his family. We want to support them as much as we can so they can focus on healing and recovery without financial worry.
