Freedom and Justice for Ya Kintulu Mundadi Souza!

My name is Catey, and I am raising money to cover legal fees for my friend, Mr. Ya Kintulu Mundadi Souza. Mr Ya Kintulu Mundadi Souza is a father, a husband, a political activist, and a beloved resident of Lewiston, Maine. He is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where he bravely participated in protests against political corruption. Fearing for his life and that of his family after the murder of his brother by political forces in the DRC, he fled the country to seek asylum in the United States. In July 2024, he was unjustly arrested by ICE and has been detained in Strafford, NH ICE prison since then. He is seeking monetary support to cover his legal fees so that he can be freed and return to his family in Maine. Mr. Ya Kintulu is a valued member of the Lewiston community, and deserves to live a life of dignity and safety alongside his family. Any amount of support would mean the world to Mr. Ya Kintulu and his family.
