If you have played in a travel baseball tournament in the gulf coast/ panhandle area, there is no doubt you have run in to Mr. Terry Killings. Mr. Terry is not only one of the best umpires we have in the area, but more importantly one of the best humans you can come in contact with. In a day and age where it’s hard to find umpires that truly are out there for the love of the kids and the game, we are so fortunate to have people like Mr. Terry umpire for us.

This weekend at a tournament, as I almost always do, I saw Mr. Terry after he umpired one of our 8u games. While talking after the game he gave me the news that he has recently been diagnosed with cancer. We both hugged and I told him I would be praying for him. While prayers are what he needs more than anything right now, I’m hopeful as a travel ball community that we can come together to help Mr. Terry fight his cancer. Without men like him, our kids wouldn’t have the opportunity to do what they love.

So please, if you have some spare change lying around, donate to Mr. Terry so he can be back out on that field doing what he loves, and that’s umpiring our kids games. Every cent raised will go directly to Mr. Terry. Thank you!!
