Support Mr. Phillips: A New Car for a Beloved Teacher

Mr. Phillips was my International Relations teacher at Mills in 2009, and during a dinner with him recently after his retirement last year, I learned that he is looking for a replacement for his car, which is at the end of its useful life.

To all previous students who knew Mr. Phillips as a teacher, advisor, counselor, and/or friend at Mills High School (whether it be from International Relations, Mills High Dragon Team, Model UN, Chinese Culture Club or beyond): let's remember how deeply he cared for his students, preparing them individually for college, following up in the years after, and going above and beyond to regale them at fine restaurants and banquet halls. I'm sure it would warm his heart to see the individuals whose unique potentials he recognized and fostered coming together to appreciate and honor him.

Please consider a contribution of $50-$150, or whatever your situation would allow, to help raise $40,000 for a new hybrid Camry, which he is considering. Please also share this with your previous classmates, club members, and friends who have known Mr. Phillips.

Please act quickly! He is looking to make a decision in the fall this year, and it'd be great to present him a new vehicle for safety reasons before the winter rains hit.
