On Friday night, my brother-in-law borrowed my car to pick up a few groceries for his camper on our property. Less than half a mile from our house, he was involved in a serious accident and crashed into a tree on his way back.

My car was completely totaled. Unfortunately, I only had liability insurance, so there will be no insurance payout. As a mom of three, I am now without a vehicle and trying to figure out how we're going to manage everything moving forward.

My brother-in-law suffered severe injuries, including a broken left femur, broken right hip and leg, and broken ribs. He is currently hospitalized and facing a very long recovery. Because of this, our household is also losing about $500 a month in income, adding even more financial strain during an already difficult time.

This one night changed so much for our family. I'm without transportation, and he will be unable to walk for a long time. The impact reaches every part of our daily lives, and to be honest, I am mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted.

I will be starting a GoFundMe to help with transportation and some of the unexpected expenses we're now facing. If you're willing to share it when it's posted, it would mean more than I can express.
