Support Mr. Mitch's Family in Their Time of Need

As a collective from the softball community, along with friends and colleagues of Mitchell Huggins, affectionately known as Mr. Mitch, we are reaching out to the community for support in helping his family. On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Mr. Mitch, a true inspiration in the world of sports, umpired his final game.

Mitch was not just an umpire; he was a prominent figure in our community, recognized for his contagious smile and unwavering commitment. His passion for the game of softball and the people involved was always evident.

His generosity, kindness, and encouragement have left a huge impact on countless individuals. He played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of numerous players, coaches, and officials. The number of lives Mitch positively influenced is immeasurable.

As colleagues, we will forever cherish the anecdotes Mitch shared about his family. His love for them was profound and unwavering. Mr. Mitch has a large family several of whom umpired with him. He often talked about his 14-year-old son Sheldon Hugging who's birthday is just a few short days away on July 4th and fiancé Margret McFadden among many others.

Mitch dedicated so much of himself to our community, youth, coaches, umpires, and families. We sincerely wish to support his family during this challenging time. Please join us in raising funds to help cover the funeral expenses and any other needs the family may encounter.
