Support Mr. Burke As He Finds His Sparrow Wings To Fly

Words will forever fall short in describing Mr. Burke and the impact he has made on his students. After four consecutive years with the same group of students, The Sparrow Class, they are spreading their wings and graduating 8th grade this week. Mr. Burke has sadly not been offered a place to return at this school next year and hundreds of faculty and staff are heartbroken. Before taking the Sparrows in 4th grade, Mr. Burke taught the SpEd class and many of his past students are in high-school, top of their classes. Mr Burke a.k.a TAD (Teacher-Dad) has helped mold 30+ students into kind, respectful, empathetic, curious, helpful, souls that will bring beauty to this world forever. He has coached the middle school sports teams, mentored other teachers unpaid and out of the generosity of his own heart, and kept the faculty/staff laughing even on the hardest of days. Amidst the emotional turmoil of letting his Sparrows find their wings and fly away to new adventures, he is half-way through completion of a specialized Waldorf teacher training program and two semesters away from receiving a Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching Leadership. My heartfelt ask is that, if you are able, you help to support Mr. Burke in paying for the completion of his Waldorf Certification and summer semester of his Master’s Degree so he can be relieved of the financial burden and focus on his education and the grief that follows graduation his class.
