For years, Mr. Alberto has been a familiar and beloved face in Wichita’s North End, selling elotes near 21st and Waco and bringing a little bit of joy to everyone who stops by his cart.

Many people in our community simply know him as “The Elote Man,” but behind the cart is a hardworking man who has spent years making a living doing what he knows best.

Unfortunately, Mr. Alberto has recently been dealing with several health issues. His family shared that he underwent surgery for two hernias, which has left him unable to lift heavy objects, including his elote cart. He has also struggled with problems with his knees for some time, making it increasingly difficult for him to continue working.

His family is now concerned that he may not be able to return to selling elotes, which has been an important source of income for him.

We created this fundraiser to give back to someone who has been a part of our community for so many years. Funds raised will help Mr. Alberto and his family with expenses and provide some financial support as he focuses on his health and adjusts to potentially no longer being able to work as he did before.
