Mount Vernon, NY has a proud history of producing basketball legends who’ve inspired our city and far beyond. But today, too many local kids don’t have access to safe, affordable sports programs that teach them not just how to play—but how to lead, learn, and succeed.

That’s why we’ve joined the accredited Mount Vernon United youth sports organization. MVU has successfully run a football program with countless youth teams under the leadership of Coach Sparx over the last decade. With the rich basketball history here in Mount Vernon, we want to offer the same level of opportunity to our youth interested in playing the sport. We plan to offer:

✅ Year-round skills clinics and local youth leagues

✅ Travel teams to help young athletes showcase their talent

✅ Academic support, college prep workshops, and mentoring by former Mount Vernon players and community leaders

We want every child, regardless of background to experience the life changing power of sports, teamwork, and mentorship.

We’re raising $10,000 dollars to:

• Rent basketball gyms right in our neighborhood. For games and weekly practices which provides further accessibility.

• To purchase uniforms, basketballs, and training equipment.

• Most of all, to fund scholarships so no child is left behind
