We are the nurses at Mount Sinai Hospital's mother-baby unit located on KP7 and we truly appreciate you for reading our story.

On January 12th, we went on strike as part of the New York State Nurses Association call for safe staffing and conditions for our patients & nurses alike. Ever since, we have been without pay & health insurance. This has caused significant hardship for our dedicated nurses who want nothing more than to go back to work and care for families and babies safely. Given Mount Sinai Hospital's conduct during negotiations, we do not know when we will be able to return to work.

The money donated to this fund will be used to ensure nurses on our unit can seek healthcare for themselves and loved ones, pay their rent/mortgage as well as childcare, transportation costs, and other essential needs currently being denied to us for simply standing up for the best interests of our patients and colleagues. Any amount you're willing to contribute is greatly appreciated, and gives us much needed support to fight for & win a fair contract that will get us back to the bedside to care for our patients safely. I am a nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital and I started this GoFundMe as a way to raise funds for my coworkers on my unit. I will directly transfer and distribute the funds to the nurses who are most in need of help with rent/mortgage, childcare, and healthcare needs.
