Hello Everyone!

We are Tina and Matt Mastrangelo and we'd like to introduce you to our friend, Moses. We got to know him during a trip to Uganda where he was our driver/guide and facilitator. In just a few days we learned so much about this generous, kind man with a heart of gold who lives his life helping others. Meeting Moses changed our lives. Now we'd like to try to change his.

Moses’s challenges began during Covid when his small village totally shut down. There was no work, no school and people were isolated and helpless. There was an increase of unwanted pregnancies, desperation and depression. One day in 2021, Moses found a tiny baby abandoned at the side of the road. He didn't think twice about taking her in and ultimately he adopted her and she joined him, his wife and 3 daughters.

This poor baby was hospitalized for months but is now a thriving 4.5 year old with a fighting spirit! Her name is Shiphrah, which fittingly, means faith and courage! Moses is so proud to call her his daughter.

While we were still in Uganda, Moses invited us to his home in Nkuringo. We got to know Shiphrah and one of his other daughters (and dozens of their joyful playmates) while he told us more about his life.

Not only has Moses's work in tourism enabled him to send two of his daughters to school but this selfless man has generously provided 10 other children from his village with tuition as well!

Before Covid, Moses was able to purchase some land and began construction of a new home for his family. And then, just as we experienced in the USA, everything shut down. Suddenly there was no money coming in and no way to move forward with the construction. As a result, the house has been sitting unfinished for 7 years.

Moses could really use our help. He sacrifices so much every day for his family and the children in his village, working full-time and trying to help as many as he can. There are still 6 orphaned children in the village who need funds for school and it is Moses’ dream to give them a permanent home with his family where they will be safe, healthy and loved.

Moses is also in the process of setting up a foundation which will help raise money for the children born during Covid in his village. Many still need medication, food and clothing. Let's take this huge, daily burden off Moses's shoulders! Could I humbly ask you for a donation to help Moses and the children of Nkuringo? School tuition costs just $240 annually per child and the cost to finish building his home is about $9000. Any amount big or small will go such a long way and would be so appreciated!
