This GoFundMe has been created to support Mo and his family with lifetime medical costs and ease the burden of everyday expenses while Mo is unable to work. Mo was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called C3 Glomerulonephritis or C3GN. This disease has compromised Mo's kidney function, and the time has come for a kidney transplant.
Mo has lived a life of adventure. He is a snowboarder, skater, golfer, bowler, baseball player, and talented filmmaker. His most recent and favorite adventure is becoming a dad to his 9-month-old daughter Rudy and husband to his wife Abbie. Mo is one of the hardest working, positive people you'll ever meet. He shows up for others in the form of their biggest cheerleader and loyal listener. He loves his friends and family with his whole heart and never hesitates to express those feelings.
This GoFundMe was created to work in tandem with the fundraiser sponsored by Oliver The Road. You can purchase merchandise or contribute to this GoFundMe. Founder of Oliver The Road: "Seven years ago, I received a kidney transplant—my mom donated her kidney and gave me a second chance at life. Since then, cycling has become my way to stay strong mentally and physically, and a way to give back. Through that journey, I created Oliver The Road, a platform built around turning miles into meaning. This year's ride is deeply personal. We'll be riding from New Orleans to the Florida Keys—over 1,000 miles starting April 2nd to raise awareness around kidney health and support a close friend, Mo, who is currently going through kidney failure. We'll also have merchandise available @oliver54 in bio April 1 , with all the proceeds going to Mo's family. This ride is about showing up, giving back, and using movement to make a real impact." - Oliver
