Support Mo's Healing After Poppy's Birth and Death
Donation protected
Dear community,
This summer it will be one year since our beloved Mo experienced the birth and death of her baby, Poppy. The life shattering impact of this truth will be a major threshold to cross during that anniversary. We all know words cannot grasp at the profoundness of this grief. There is an opportunity at that time for Mo to be held in a retreat, led by a trusted grief worker who understands the gravity of a bereaved mother. This is an invitation to offer support to Mo, knowing it is needed, and how vulnerable it is to ask for. If giving in this way is something you can do - or reaching to others for that - this would lighten the burden for Mo and would be a way to bring our loving arms around her while she moves through this portal.
Here are some words from Mo:
"Grief is a portal - so so painful, sharp and dull, rhythm like erratic storm surges - impossible at times and also full of medicine - a heavy flight into mystery . I am honoring a deep calling to retreat, be cared for, and care for myself for a consistent stretch - so that I might experience the way Poppy's birth and death and this grief journey has wrecked and blessed and rearranged me and emerge rested and in greater intimate relationship with myself from a time of quiet, listening, and strengthening for my family and community. Why this retreat ? I am following my intuition , following Poppy's guidance - a container held by a long time grief / worker who knows intimately the holy ground I walk as a bereaved mother . We will meet just a few days before Poppy's birth and death anniversary - I feel this also as a way to prepare for this incredibly significant threshold . No one can fully understand what I walk with , what I carry in my body . My body is in many phases of holy decomposition with her . I trust this walk , where it's taking me . I welcome any support to lighten the financial load of this step ."
