Support Morris Robison medical rehab and recovery.

My long time close friend and veteran brother Morris Robison needs your support. Morris was severely injured in a traffic accident on December 16, 2020. His injuries included a severe concussion and head laceration with multiple brain bleeds, broken ribs and a punctured lung.
As a result of his injuries, his spleen, appendix and gallbladder were removed. With x-rays revealing Morris's lungs were full of fluid, he remained heavily sedated and on a ventilator in ICU. After two weeks of battling acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), Morris was removed from the ventilator on January 2nd. Finally, on January 8th, Morris was moved from ICU to a regular room.
Morris's recovery seemed be coming along well, but on January 13th, after further evaluation, complications from his head injury were found to be more serious than previously assessed. He was having difficulty supporting himself physically, using his arms, and his speech was slurred. Based on his evaluations, the decision was made to move Morris to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta which specializes in spinal cord and brain injury rehabilitation. On Shepherd's evaluation scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the worst, Morris was assessed a 4. Accompanied by his son, Daniel, Morris was moved to Shepherd where he is currently undergoing rehabilitation for at minimum of 28 days. Upon his completion of inpatient rehab, Morris will require a minimum of 30 days of at home care.
With his short term disability, along with the support from family and close friends, Morris's son Zachary is monitoring and keeping his monthly bills and expenses in good standing. However, not knowing how long Morris's rehabilitation will last, when he'll be capable of returning to work and his limited time on disability, it's uncertain how long those expenses can be covered. Morris's has already amassed out of pocket medical expenses exceeding $15,000 with a likely chance of additional expenses in the future.
I've known Morris since 1988 when we were stationed together in Germany. Had the honor of serving in combat with him during Desert Storm. Morris is the proud father of two fine young men, Zachery and Daniel, and loving grandfather to 8 grandchildren.
I'm asking for your support to help Morris and his family to get through this trying time. My goal is to ease the financial burden during his rehabilitation so he can focus on recovery. Your donations will help cover out of pocket medical bills, future in home care, lost wages and living expenses.
Please donate what you can to help Morris get back on his feet and enjoying his family and life again. Thank you.
