My name is Moriah and I work at a dog daycare and kennel. There is no PTO or anything with this type business.

I just came back from the Perry Labor Day Dog Show with a fever. Two days later I teated positive at Urgent Care and had an absess. By Friday I'm in the Emory ER in Atlanta. They started treating me for sepsis due to the absess. Lots of IV antibiotics, blood cultures taken, CT scan with contract to see how deep the absess went. It was 6 inches deep.

I went into emergency surgery for the lancing and cleaning. I have drainage tubes and according to the paperwork, they stay in for 2 weeks.

Blood cultures are clear so I was sent home yesterday with antibiotics and pain meds.

So I am trying to figure out how to pay bills and groceries since I'm down for at least 2 weeks. My follow up for drain removal is Sept 27th.
