On Saturday, November 22, I suffered a small stroke that has changed my life in ways I never expected. A few weeks earlier, I had a fall that caused a vertebral artery dissection in my neck. My body responded by producing a blood clot, which eventually lodged in my medulla and led to the stroke. Since then, I’ve been dealing with vision problems and weakness on the right side of my body, which means I’ll need physical therapy and time to heal.
My neurologist is optimistic that I will make a full recovery, but the road ahead will require patience and support. I will need to be off work for some time, which puts a financial strain on my little family—especially during this already stressful time of year. The funds raised here will help cover our living expenses and allow me to focus on getting better without worrying about how to make ends meet.
I am asking for any financial help you can offer while I recover. If you’re unable to donate, maybe consider checking out my kids’ Amazon wishlist for Christmas. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, and your kindness means the world to us right now.
