About two weeks ago, my mom fell off a ladder and broke her pelvis and back, and had internal bleeding, which led to emergency surgery. I met her in the trauma room of Providence in Everett, and there began our latest journey. Since her fall, she's had to relearn to sit up, stand up, and is currently working on re-learning to walk within the confines of her injury.

I am trying to travel down as often as possible to be with her, but it is becoming harder for Ben to take off work, and we don't have an emergency fund to fall back on. I am also currently in the process of looking for a job, but ideally want to wait until she is better recovered. I am trying to sell what I can on Marketplace to bring in extra cash.

She needs a lot of help right now, both social and emotional. She is my mom, and it's my turn to take care of her. Any donation will help us stay on top of our bills (mortgage, grocery, mounting credit cards) and give me and my family the gift of time.
