Hi everyone, my name is Morgan, and I’m preparing for one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. I will be having a 10–12 hour auto kidney transplant to treat my Nutcracker Syndrome (NCS) and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS).
I’ve lived in constant pain, with my kidney and veins being compressed so badly that it’s affected my ability to sometimes walk, work, and even do simple daily tasks without discomfort. Most days, I’m nauseous, throwing up, and fighting off pounding headaches. The pressure on my bladder is so intense that I constantly feel the need to urinate, even when my bladder is empty. It’s exhausting, both physically and emotionally. This surgery is my only option for relief from all of my horrible symptoms. They’ll be moving my kidney to the other side of my body, rerouting my veins, and reconnecting my bladder to restore proper blood flow. It’s as intense as it sounds, but it’s my best chance at getting my life back.
I’ll be out of work for at least 8 weeks while I recover, without pay. The costs are overwhelming, but any help (no matter how small) would mean more than I can put into words. If you can donate or even just share my story, it would make a huge difference.
Thank you so much for your kindness, your prayers, thoughts, and your time. ❤️
