Support Morgan and Her Family in Her Fight for Life

Morgan Chandler, a loving wife, wonderful stepmom, and all-around beautiful soul is facing the odds in her fight for life. Please help us support her and her family by raising money and spreading awareness of this campaign far and wide!

Following an unexpected chain of medical events, Morgan was diagnosed in late 2024 with an LMNA genetic mutation that caused dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). This means her heart has enlarged due to thinning chamber walls, limiting its ability to pump freshly oxygenated blood throughout her body.

Doctors determined her progression to be stage III heart failure. Immediate medical intervention has been required to save her life. She underwent surgery in early December to install an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) that will monitor her heart activity and shock her heart back into a normal rhythm when necessary.

The genetic mutation presents complications that limit treatment options for Morgan. Her medical team can monitor her heart’s activity remotely due to the ICD device and will continue to treat her condition with cardioversion therapy (quick, low-energy shocks to restore a regular heart rhythm) and cardiac ablation (heat or cold energy are used to create tiny scars in the heart, blocking faulty heart signals and restoring a typical heartbeat).

Morgan has been a champion of good spirits through this journey thus far, and she is determined to continue her fight for as long as it requires. Her unwavering optimism, joy, humility, and love for Christ have always been at her core. She discovered her spark and passion for helping countless others in 2008 when she joined InterVarsity through the Kansas University program. Life to her is empty without purpose, and what better purpose is there than to love others to the fullest degree!
