My daughter Morgan has been struggling with alcoholism for about two years, and recently her health took a sudden and serious turn. Last week, she began experiencing severe abdominal pain, and on March 9, she was admitted to the hospital. Her condition quickly became critical, and after being transferred twice, she is now in the ICU Heart Care unit at a large hospital in Ft. Worth, TX. Morgan has been sedated since Tuesday, facing blood clots in her lungs and cysts on her pancreas. It’s been an incredibly difficult and frightening time for our family as we watch her fight for her life.
Morgan does not have health insurance, and the mounting hospital bills and the cost of rehabilitation are overwhelming. I have taken time off work to be by her side and support her through this process, but it has left us with no financial resources to manage these urgent expenses. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do it alone.
It would mean a great deal to Morgan and me if we could find the kindness of others to help us through this crisis. Morgan is a wonderful person who has always been willing to help others, and we are more than happy to pay it forward when we are able. Thank you all for your support, prayers, and generosity during this incredibly challenging time.
