On October 7th, I received the life-changing diagnosis of Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Triple Negative) Breast Cancer. Since then, I have completed 2 out of 16 rounds of chemotherapy, with surgery and radiation still ahead. While I am staying positive and doing well so far, I know the road to recovery will be long—about a year of treatment in total.

This journey has brought many unexpected challenges and expenses. In addition to medical bills, there are costs that insurance doesn’t cover, like cold capping to help preserve my hair and an egg retrieval procedure to protect my dream of having a baby one day. These steps are important to me, but they come with significant out-of-pocket expenses.
