Hey there, my name is Morgan (aka Mx. Morgan) and my partner and I need urgent help with paying our rent for May.

Currently I work part time at an artist co-op here in Seattle, and do freelance art and illustration when I'm home. My partner, Dez, is a postal worker. I cover our food, pet care, debts, and bills on my wages, my partner covers rent. In early March, Dez had to take medical leave from the postal service to address a chronic condition. She has yet to be paid for 8 weeks FMLA due to bureaucratic back-and-forth between her medical providers, union, and postal business. At this time, her job needs a medical provider's signature for a form, but that provider will be unavailable until Monday, May 10th. May 10th is also the last day we can pay rent before being evicted. This also does not account for the processing time of the forms requested by her job, so we don't know when she will receive her (at the time of writing) 8 weeks of pay.

So, we are here asking for assistance with our rent totaling $2,025. We are only asking for the rent to be covered. We can split the rent into 2 payments of $1012.50, though ideally we'd like to pay for it in full to avoid adding more debt. I do also have a shop where I offer physical goods, original artworks, downloadable items, and commissions (I will also paint/draw pet portraits) and I personally enjoy giving something in return for your kindness. My shop is located on Kofi.
