Support Mor'Du's Fight for Survival

This is Mor'Du. He is a 6-year-old American Bully. Mor'Du truly is a gentle, loving, and great dog who is currently undergoing life-saving surgeries.

Last Wednesday was a normal morning until the afternoon when I noticed Mor'Du was puking up brown liquid. He did not want to eat and only drank water. Throughout the night, a few times, Mor'Du was puking brown liquid again. Thursday morning, I noticed Mor'Du was puking blood, which was very concerning! I took Mor'Du to the vet, where he had x-rays, blood work, and one injection to stop puking up blood. The x-ray showed objects stuck in his intestines and stomach, which was causing Mor'Du to go septic quickly and continue puking blood. Mor'Du needed surgery immediately! I called 18 different animal hospitals all over Michigan, which said they either couldn't do anything for Mor'Du or not until the next morning to get him in. Mor'Du was declining fast and would not live to see the next morning! Finally, I found an animal hospital in Troy, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes away from home. I rushed Mor'Du to the animal hospital, and Mor'Du, inside at this point, could no longer stand or walk himself. I told the staff, "This is my 8-year-old daughter's begging wish to save her dog!" Mor'Du was taken right away to a room to be examined. The doctor definitely stated Mor'Du needed surgery right then, and they took him in and prepped him for surgery, which he had to stay overnight. I finally received a phone call 3 hours later; surgery was successful, and they would check his vitals and monitor him overnight. Friday late evening, I made the drive to pick up Mor'Du and brought him home. Everything seemed fine between the 2 antibiotics and medication to give him at specific times, a special diet, and movement restrictions. I thought Mor'Du would be okay and start his recovery.

Until last night (Sunday), I noticed blood spots dripping from the staples in Mor'Du's stomach, and he has not been able to have a bowel movement. I took pictures and videos and emailed them over to the hospital and called them. They said Mor'Du needed to come back in and were very concerned about the bleeding. Another 1 hour 30 minute drive back to the hospital today (Monday), and the doctor did an ultrasound and said Mor'Du was bleeding out in his abdomen and needed surgery right away to find and stop the bleeding.

Mor'Du is currently at the animal hospital and just had his 2nd surgery tonight find and repair the hole / tear in his intestines due to his tissue lining being very weak and caused an infection, which is why he was bleeding out into his abdomen. He is staying in the hospital tonight and will get an update by the morning how he is doing. The doctor said he is still concerned and will monitor him throughout the night.

This has been stressful on my daughter and myself emotionally, mentally, and physically to take all measures to save Mor'Du. If you could please share and, if possible, find it in your heart to help donate, it would be very appreciated. We just want Mor'Du home alive and healthy! Thank you so much.
