Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved black lab, Moose. Moose has been diagnosed with a rapidly growing sarcoma tumor in his back leg, and the situation has become critical. The tumor is progressing so quickly that his leg is beginning to die, and he is now in severe, constant pain.
In the past month alone we’ve spent over $1,500 trying to figure out what exactly was causing pain and limping. With being sent in for a second opinion our veterinarian has told us that Moose needs immediate amputation surgery to save his life and give him relief from the suffering he’s enduring every day. While this surgery offers hope for more happy years with him, since he will only be 7 this year, the cost of emergency care, surgery, medications, imaging, and recovery is more than we can manage alone.
Moose is more than a dog — he’s family. He’s the loyal companion who’s always there with a wagging tail, a comforting presence, and unconditional love. Seeing him struggle to walk, cry out in pain, and lose his spark has been heartbreaking.
We are asking for any support possible to help cover:
* Emergency veterinary visits
* Amputation surgery
* Pain management and medications
* Post-surgical recovery care
* Follow-up treatments and pathology testing
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings Moose one step closer to getting the urgent care he desperately needs. If you’re unable to donate, praying or sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read Moose’s story and for helping us give him a chance to live pain-free again.
With gratitude,
The Mitchell Family ❤️
