Hello, my name is Crystal Gilbert and I’m raising money for my boxer, Moose, who is seven years and four months old. It all started in February. He stopped eating and started sleeping more, so I got him a vet visit. They did numerous tests on him: chest x-ray, bloodwork, ultrasound, and checking for cortisol for Addison's disease.

Now they’re wanting to do a scope, thinking that he might have a tumor in his stomach that’s not showing up. This test costs $1500, possibly a little bit more after the test. This dog I rescued three days before we went into lockdown during the pandemic. They called me and said if you want the boxer, you need to come immediately because we won’t be able to let you come in and pick him up. So I left, dropped everything, and went to pick up this boy. He’s been by my side since 2020 when he was just a year and a half old. When I got him, he weighed 38 pounds; he had come from outside of Houston, he has done well the past 7 years and was at 86 pounds and now losing weight being super sick and not eating, vomiting, and now he’s started vomiting blood. Diarrhea has stopped, but He does drink water and sometimes eats some food, but I have to kind of hold it for him and coax him to eat a little bit. They have him on about 15 different medications just to stimulate his appetite, plus nausea and vomiting meds on top of that, but he just keeps going downhill, losing his mass and muscles.

Now I have $3000 in on his medical and testing, and now they need to do this scope to look inside his stomach. They will be taking a biopsy to test for cancer. I do not have that type of income, so I’m asking if someone or anyone could just donate a little so I can raise money to get these tests done on him. He has been a delight and a loving boxer, staying by my side nonstop. I just can’t bear to lose him at this point; he’s like my child. I’m ready to sale everything in my apartment and live in my car. I posted several pictures so you could see when he was well to the first picture, which is where he’s at now after he’s lost 15 pounds I know people may think this is a scam please thus is truly a sick dog and I just need help.
