Moose Alexander came home on January 10th, a bright and curious boy. He snuggled with me the entire 2-hour drive back to my apartment, and I was immediately in love. A couple of days after coming home, he started to exhibit some concerning symptoms such as no appetite and lower energy levels. Five vet visits took place over the week he’s been in my care, and he has simply gotten sicker. He was diagnosed with a GI parasite on 1/15, and today, 1/17, he was admitted to the hospital with an ileus. So far he has required x-rays, a transfusion, and feeds through a tube in his nose.
I love this dog, and I am devastated that I cannot help him get through this. That his care required levels I was unable to provide in my home, especially at a crucial time when he should be acclimating to his new home. Emergency vet bills are astronomically high, and I am asking, please, help me pay for this angel’s care. He’s only 8 weeks old. His life is just beginning, and this parasite shouldn’t be able to take it away from him.
