Hi, I’m Thanvi Yadlapalli, and I’m raising funds to support the Moore Institute for Plastic Pollution Research as part of my DECA project. Through this project, I’m focusing on one of the most urgent environmental and public health challenges of our time: microplastics.

Microplastics — tiny plastic particles found in our oceans, air, soil, and even our food — are silently entering our bodies and our ecosystems every single day. Their long-term effects are still not fully understood, which is why research is so important. For my DECA initiative, I’m working to raise awareness about this issue and support real scientific efforts that can lead to meaningful change.
