I’m reaching out to ask for help for my dog, Mookie. Mookie has recently gone through a health scare. He experienced sudden liver failure and spent several days under a lot of veterinary care.

Mookie underwent extensive testing, including multiple blood panels, urine tests, x-rays, full body exams, and a full abdominal ultrasound. After a lot of worry and waiting, we received the news that it wasn’t cancer—something I’m incredibly grateful for. Mookie now has liver disease, a condition that will require lifelong monitoring, medications, and vet visits.

Unfortunately, the costs for his emergency care has already climbed into the thousands of dollars. Despite having pet insurance, much of the treatment wasn’t covered, and the out-of-pocket expenses have been overwhelming. Every test, scan, and vet visit added up quickly.

Mookie is recovering now, but his liver will need to be regularly monitored and ongoing treatment will be essential to keep him happy and healthy. I could really use some help to manage the bills from his recent care and prepare for the medical costs still ahead.
