Monty Caldwell has been a friend of mine for over a decade, and he’s a well-known local coon hunter who has dedicated countless hours to helping others. For many years, Monty has organized, supported, and donated to youth and community events, always putting others before himself. He’s the kind of person who never asks for help, but is always the first to offer it to someone in need. Now, Monty is facing a challenge that none of us could have expected.

Recently, Monty suffered a stroke. During the medical tests that followed, doctors discovered a brain tumor that will require surgery. This news has turned his world upside down. As a self-employed individual, Monty has no health insurance, and his ability to work and provide for his family has been put on hold. The costs of seeing different doctors, undergoing tests, and traveling to specialist appointments are mounting quickly. On top of the medical bills, the expenses for travel, hotels, and daily living are adding up, creating a heavy burden for Monty and his family.
