Support for Montez: Girl Dad, Longshoreman, and Small Business Owner Healing from Injury

Earlier this month, Montez — father to my daughters, a dedicated longshoreman at the Port of Seattle, and the owner of Girl Dad Automotive — sustained a painful sacral fracture while playing outside with our youngest.

This injury has temporarily taken him away from both his jobs: the physically demanding work at the Port, and the mobile mechanic services he provides through his small business. While we’re fortunate that medical costs are manageable, the loss of income during this recovery period has made it difficult for Montez to keep up with basic household expenses.

Montez is a hard worker and devoted dad who gives so much of himself to support his family and community. Now, we’re asking our community to help support him through this short but challenging chapter.
