Last weekend Feb 6 and 7 of 2026 , many neighborhoods in my hometown of Monteria, Cordoba, Colombia have been affected by intense flooding, leaving thousands of families in need. Among the neighborhoods affected is the one where I grew up, and where multiple family members live. Seeing the devastation has been heartbreaking. The flooding has disrupted lives, damaged homes, and left many people without basic necessities.
I am trying to raise money to buy essentials like non-perishable food, personal care products, mattresses, and other items needed for those who have lost so much. My plan is to transfer the fund to my sister in Colombia, who has already started buying this products to deliver to neighbors affected by the flood.
The community is coming together, but the scale of the disaster means that every bit of help is needed to make a difference.
I would like to ask those who know me and anyone who is able to donate for any support you can give. No matter how small, your help will mean a lot to me and to the families in Monteria who are struggling right now. Thank you for considering a donation and for standing with my community in this time of need.
