Dear Family/Friends,
Just an island girl born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I'm reaching out with an urgent plea for help. Jamaica has recently been struck by the powerful hurricane Melissa, that has left communities devastated to include my own - homes destroyed, families displaced and essentials wiped out. The aftermath is heartbreaking, and the road to recovery will be long and difficult.
The region (Moy Hall, Saint James) where my family lives is frequently overlooked when disaster relief is distributed, largely because of its remote location. As a result, I feel a strong responsibility to personally gather and deliver the essential supplies the community needs. Any and all funds collected will be used for emergency supplies such as non-perishable food, water, clothing, light sources and hygiene kits. I will be transporting the items, as soon as Sangster International airport is available to receive incoming travelers.
Whether you can give $5 or $500, your contribution will bring hope and healing to those who need it most. If you're unable to contribute financially, please help by spreading the word about this campaign or send a message with other helpful resources that could provide support . Please continue to pray for the family near & far. Thank you and God Bless.
